Earn money when someone buys something mentioned in the report

Although the focus of the report is on helping the reader set up and run a successful online business, there are quite a few links which point back to the PowerKeys Publishing website and others.

The vast majority of these links may be "branded" with your affiliate links.  This means that any time someone clicks one of those links, and then makes a purchase, you will earn a commission.

The affiliate program I offer here pays 50% commissions on all product sales (including physical products), and once you refer a customer to us, they are hard-coded to your account.  This means you continue to earn commissions for the LIFETIME of that customer.

Because the report is brand new, I don't have any statistics on how much you're likely to make from these affiliate links, and the FTC would limit what I could say anyways.

All I CAN say is that you would earn 50% on all sales coming from your branded report, and you can earn back your branding fee with only 2 sales.  (Actually, one large sale could produce more commissions for you than the entire branding fee.)

Since this report is about Internet Marketing, and a lot of Internet Marketing people are going to be spreading it around, the odds are quite high that your branded copy will generate a lot of sales for the branding option itself.

How to evaluate the value of branding

If you're already familiar with viral report branding, you probably don't need to read this section.  However, for those who are new to the business, I'll show you how to appraise the value of any branding offer you find.

There are 4 key elements you need to consider, which are:

1. Product Topic
2. Product Quality
3. Backend Affiliate Program
4. ROI - Return of Investment

Product Topic

The topic of a viral marketing piece is actually the most important element here.  Some topics will spread quickly, whereas other topics will never go anywhere.

Historically, the topic that spreads the quickest online is "how to make money online".

That's because so many Internet Marketers want the dream -- to make money without doing any work.  When they find a report or other product they can sell and make money, they'll do it, and many won't even bother to get it branded themselves.

I know, because I've done it myself.

A couple of years ago, I set up an ebook library for my members here on the PowerKeys Publishing website.  Several of them offered branding rights, yet I didn't bother.  I simply added them to the library as a service to my members, and left it at that.  For me, it was more important that I offer something of value to my members.

This topic is also perfect for viral sales.  When you distribute copies of your branded report to a group of Internet Marketers, many of them will want to brand the report and do the same.  This means you'll make lots of affiliate sales and earn money from their branding fees.

And you only need 2 to earn back YOUR branding fee.

Product Quality

A high-quality product is more likely to get past around than a poor one.  That's just common sense.

One of the reasons that Rich Schefren gained 10,000 new subscribers the week he came online was because he released a high-quality report called "The Internet Business Manifesto."  Everyone in Internet Marketing who saw it told everyone they knew to go grab a copy.

Again, I know because I did it myself.

It was such a great report, and I knew several folks who needed the information to make their online businesses successful, I announced the report even though I was not an affiliate.

Backend Affiliate Program

When evaluating a branding option, the next thing to consider is the affiliate program from which you'll earn your commissions.  Is it reliable?  Is it fair?  Does the sales site actually make sales?

The PowerKeys Publishing website has been around since March 2006, and I have several affiliates who joined back then and are still active.  If you are concerned about the quality of my affiliate program, I can give you a few references and let my affiliates tell you how profitable it has been to promote this website.

On average, the PowerKeys Publishing site converts around 2.7% of visitors to sales, with an average commission of about $23.50.  This means that my affiliates earn an average of $0.63 per referral, which is one of the highest averages in the personal development industry. 

(All these numbers increase when we do a special event.  It's not unusual for affiliates to see conversion rates of 8% and higher during an event.)

As if this wasn't enough, you may be interested to know that my affiliate program also pays out on a 2nd-tier, which means that you earn a 10% commission for every sale referred by those affiliate YOU refer into the program.  If your report gets 5 full-time affiliates to join the program, you'll earn a full time affiliate income just from the 2nd-tier commissions.

Oh, and once a customer buys from me, your affiliate ID is hard-coded into the database, giving you LIFETIME commissions for every purchase they ever make in the future.

One other minor detail -- PowerKeys Publishing affiliates are not allowed to earn commissions on their own purchases.

ROI - Return of Investment

Most people refer to ROI as "return ON investment", however many professional investors prefer to concentrate on "return OF investment".

That's because once they have their investment back, they can move on and make other investments, while their earlier investments continue to produce profit for them.

With an affiliate program that pays 50% commission, you only need to have 2 sales come from your branded report to earn back your investment.  And since there are so many other positive factors involved, this will tend to happen quickly.

Again, since the report is brand new, I don't have any statistics to offer you.  However, I think you can see for yourself that there's an incredible opportunity here.

Bottom Line

When you consider all the factors, purchasing a branding option makes sense if you feel you can distribute more than a few copies, especially to people who have mailing lists of their own.

If you expect to only pass out a few copies to friends and family, and perhaps sell a copy here and there, it's not worth it to you.

But if you feel you can get dozens, or even hundreds, of copies into the hands of real Internet Marketers, then it's a worthwhile investment.

Essentially, what you're buying is 2 things:

1. Viral marketing for your online business, and
2. Future income from the PowerKeys Publishing affiliate program

Because I am effectively selling a portion of my own income, I've decided that the branding rights are not going to be cheap.

However, I'm not greedy, and I really do want to help out as many folks as possible.
