In order to give you the clearest and most accurate description of our affiliate program, we asked Rosalind Gardner if we could use her "20 Questions" as outlined in her "Super Affiliate Handbook", a reference that is guaranteed to help any affiliate make more money promoting other people's stuff online.

Rosalind Gardner's 20 Questions (From her "Super Affiliate Handbook")

1. Is the Company Reputable? - PowerKeys Publishing has been in business since January 2003. We currently have several affiliates who have been with us since we first started our in-house program. We can provide references upon request.
2. Is there an Affiliate Agreement? - Yes. Our agreement protects all parties involved – merchant, affiliate, and customer.
3. What are the Terms of Agreement? - Click Here to read our Affiliate Agreement.
4. May I Terminate the Agreement? If so, how? - You may terminate your affiliate account for any reason whatsoever. The easiest way to do this is to simply stop promoting our products. Your account will be removed after 6 months of inactivity. You may also send us an email stating your desire and your account will be deleted immediately.
5. Is my site eligible for this program? - Because we take our partnerships seriously, we do not approve every application submitted. Of primary interest to us are the following:

• Your site needs to look like it was professionally designed.  This enhances the visitor experience and increases trust and respect, thus leading to increased profitability for both Affiliate and Merchant.
• Your site must be focused on our primary niche, which is personal development.  Your site may focus on any aspect (or sub-niche) of personal development.  Our definition for personal development is "information and tools to effect personal change". In other words, your site must help people change themselves, not the world around them.  This means that a site focused on Internet Marketing or "how to make money" does not qualify.
• Your site needs to be hosted on a domain that you registered yourself, or was registered by an agent acting on your behalf.  This means that BlogSpot and MySpace pages do not qualify. In other words, you had to have paid to register your own domain name.  If you did not do this, your site does not qualify.
• Your site needs to offer your visitors a reason to spend time there.  Most web surfers quickly scan a site and decide in 2 seconds whether they will spend any time there or move on to something else. If your site is unable to capture your visitor's attention, any promotion you do on that site will fail. You can accomplish this goal by posting articles or product reviews, offering free ebooks, creating a web directory that offers at least SOME information on the sites listed there, or maintaining a blog or discussion forum.
• Your site must focus on real benefits to your visitors and not be a platform for marketing hype.  For the same reasons, your site must not contain any content that could be construed as hateful, vengeful, sinister, illegal, or morally questionable.
• Your site may be brand new or a site that you've had for years.  Quality is more important than longevity.
• It is preferable, but not required, that your site focus on building a mailing list where you can build a relationship with your audience.  This helps to make promotions more effective for both of us.
• In order to maintain eligibility, you must actively promote our products in 2 ways.  By maintaining promotional content on your site (banners, text ads, articles, product reviews, branded ebooks, etc.) AND by email broadcasts to your mailing list at least twice a year.

6. Is there a Fee to Join the Program? - No. Our program is completely free to join.
7. Does the Program Require Exclusivity? - No. You may promote any other programs you wish. There is one caveat, however. You may not cast our products in a negative light in order to enhance your promotion of another program. It is permissible (and encouraged) to point out what may be considered flaws of our product when doing a product review, however. The dividing line is whether the reader is encouraged to buy or not buy our products.
8. What is the Program Type? - We offer a Pay-Per-Sale affiliate program.  We pay you a percentage of every sale that results from your referrals.
9. What is the Commission Rate? - We offer a variable commission rate that is based on performance. The base level commission is 40% and goes up from there. Performance levels are based on the volume of sales you've referred during the calendar year. This means that every January 1st, you start at the base rate of 40%. Other commissions are as follows:

• 45% after $350 in sales. (Within the calendar year.)
• 50% after $750 in sales. ($400 in sales at the 45% level.)
• 55% after $1,500 in sales. ($750 in sales at the 50% level.)
• 60% after $3,000 in sales. ($1,500 in sales at the 55% level.)
• 65% after $7,000 in sales. ($4,000 in sales at the 60% level.)
• 70% after $15,000 in sales. ($8,000 in sales at the 65% level.)

10. How Long are Cookies Set to Last? - A full year – 365 days.  We also track your referrals by IP address when cookies are blocked.  In addition, we've also implemented a compact privacy policy that allows IE to accept our (1st party) cookies when the user has their privacy settings set to 'High'.
11. Do I Get Credit for Recurring Sales? - Our products are not billed on a recurring basis, nor are they consumables that need to be replaced, therefore this question does not apply.
12. Does the Program Pay Lifetime Commissions? - Technically, no. However, you do get paid for any and all sales made during the year your cookie remains on your referral's computer. If your referral buys 20 products in that year, you get paid on all 20 sales.  Also, the one year tracking period renews every time you refer the same customer to us through your affiliate link.
13. Is it a 2-Tier or Multiple-Tier Program? - No. We pay commission on direct sales only. If you'd like to promote our affiliate program, contact us for special arrangements.
14. Are Sales Statistics Reported in Real Time? - Yes. All reports contain data collected at the time the report is generated, even in the previous microsecond.
15. Are Merchant Copy & Sales Tools Offered? - Yes. We do our best to provide the most extensive collection of promotional materials possible. Also, the materials we provide are not been just thrown together, but have been tested successfully in previous promotions. You have your choice of banners, email copy, articles, brandable ebooks, and more.
16. How Often Do I Get Paid? - Every month. Commissions are paid on or before the first Friday of each month and include commission earned up to the end of the previous month. We do not hold anything back to cover potential refunds, but give you everything you've earned.
17. HOW Do I Get Paid? - You have your choice between getting paid via PayPal or by physical check. There is no “processing fee” either way. You get the full amount of your commissions.
18. Does the Merchant use Third Party Billing? - No, we handle all payments in-house. Once again, you may contact some of our current affiliates if this is a concern for you to verify our payment history. References are available upon request.
19. Is There a Minimum Payout Amount? - Yes, you must earn a minimum of $50 in commissions before a payment will be processed. This is to compensate for the fact that we do not charge a “processing fee” for paying you, nor hold back to cover refunds.  You may optionally set a higher minimum payout amount of $100, $200, $300, $400, or $500 in your affiliate profile.
20. Is Co-Branding Available? - Yes, although on a limited level. Contact us for full details.
21. What other factors should I consider? - Our sales conversions are among the highest in the industry. It is not uncommon for an affiliate to see 3% to 8% conversions when promoting our products. Over the last 8 months, our affiliates have AVERAGED conversions of 5.28%.  In some unusual situations, we've seen conversions as high as 16%. This increases the average visitor value, a very important measure of the profitability of a program. Our average visitor value fluctuates depending on the quality of traffic we get, but tends to fall between 70¢ and $3 per visitor. Once again, over the past 8 months, our affiliates have AVERAGED $1.28 per visitor!  This is the full value from which commissions are calculated, therefore your commissions will be 40% to 70% of that.  AVERAGE affiliate commissions over the past 8 months have been $0.81 per click.
